2nd Annual Queen’s Cocktail Challenge

The 2nd Annual Queen’s Cocktail Challenge was an evening to remember, filled with delicious cocktails, incredible generosity, and unforgettable moments. From showcasing San Antonio's top mixologists to uniting the community in support of education, the night was a resounding success.

This year’s event featured an impressive lineup of participating vendors, including Ambler at Hotel Contessa, Green Lantern, J Prime, La Roca Cantina, McIntyre's, Pacific Moon, Scuzzi's, Social Spot, Rebecca Creek, and Ay! Ay! Ay! Their creativity and craftsmanship brought vibrant energy to the event, with cocktails that wowed both the judges and the crowd. Special congratulations to Green Lantern, which swept both the Judges’ Choice and People’s Choice Awards, and Pacific Moon, which earned recognition for Best Booth Presentation.

The event was made possible by the support of generous sponsors. Presenting Sponsors included MRI Imaging, One Beauty Bar, TXI, and DEST. In-kind sponsors such as Silver Eagle, Best Block, Neiman Marcus, Mumme Interiors, Brand and Stitch, Sessi Wine, Tequila Ay! Ay! Ay!, Enchanted Rock/Rebecca Creek, Everything Bundt Cake - Shavano Park, Swiss Chocolatier, CM Consulting, and Mireles Ice provided invaluable contributions. Additionally, table sponsors Caliper Contracting, Carvajal Pharmacy, and Jennifer Barbaro helped ensure the event's success.

A highlight of the night was the incredible generosity shown by attendees. The 50/50 raffle winner, Daniel, donated his $2,900 winnings back to the cause, and Andy and Marcos Villa contributed an additional $5,000 to support Reina Linda XI’s reign. These acts of kindness demonstrated the true spirit of the evening and the commitment of the community to making a difference.

Guests enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere, with entertainment by the legendary Patsy Torres and a lively air guitar moment by Rey Feo himself. Attendees also previewed the stunning Reina Linda Heart, which will feature on her Fiesta float, and had the chance to shop custom Kendra Scott earrings, with proceeds benefiting the cause. Vendors and participants were further engaged with activities like a bingo card raffle for earrings and a couple dance contest, where Scuzzi’s donated a $50 gift card for the winners.

The night wouldn’t have been complete without acknowledging the contributions of key individuals. JC Carpenter did a fantastic job as the MC, while Rico from Consejo managed registration and the 50/50 raffle with excellence. A special thanks goes out to judges Michael Quintanilla, Trish DeBerry, and Stefani Garcia, as well as Sam Sitterle, Chris Kelly, Mark LaHood, and Daniel, who served cocktails to the judges. To show appreciation, each vendor was gifted a custom pink shaker as a keepsake from the event.

With the community’s support, the event raised significant funds for the Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation, helping provide scholarships for students and empowering them to achieve their educational dreams. The Queen’s Cocktail Challenge once again proved that when a community comes together, anything is possible. Thank you to everyone who made this night such a success!
